The Magnus Club is a B2B strategy consultancy with a single aim: to increase the effectiveness of marketing within your organisation.

We are B2B strategy specialists. A team of senior leaders who have extensive experience in building and transforming B2B marketing teams and brands.

We provide a customer first, objective point of view to help solve client challenges. We are strategists, we bring innovative, bigger picture thinking to develop a clear way forward with strategy, positioning and planning.

We are pragmatic, accountable creative thinkers; working within your team in an inclusive and transparent way. We build long term partnerships with our clients to close the Strategy Gap and help increase marketing’s value within the business.

We listen hard to understand, to unravel the complicated. By shining a spotlight on the opportunities and define what’s good and what needs to be left behind we can recommend the right strategy. We collaborate with you to connect what needs to be done with the best way to do it. We become the mind of the customer, always working from outside in. We are pragmatic, honest, and don’t pull any punches – saying what we think the business needs. We see things differently and get people to think and work differently – to help increase the value of your business, by realising the value marketing.

The Team

Two partners, Teresa and Alex, who have worked together for over 15 years, lead an agile team of marketing, planning, digital and insight strategists. We also have two Board Advisors helping us to keep our business objectives on track. 

Teresa Allan – Partner

Teresa is a Board level marketer with over 20 years’ experience in helping agencies and clients realise their value through brand, demand generation and operational effectiveness.

She previously held two Agency Board directorships and completed 2 agency sales, including dnx/WPP and was interim MD for Publicis b2b agency, Saatchi Pro during which time she transformed the agency process, people and focus. She has mentored start ups in fintech, fashion and medtech and worked with brands including Cisco, Adobe, SAP and BT. She is an advisor for Adelpha; a female led, investment network and leads the B2B industry wide Power of Partnership initiative to improve client/agency relationships.

Alex Brayshaw – Partner

Alex lives and breathes B2B… and all the discussion, debate, complexities and creative problem-solving that comes with it! By aligning business and marketing strategy he ultimately helps grow market share, increase revenue, enter new markets (having worked across most sectors) and build stronger relationships with customers.

As a senior leader in one of the UK’s most successful independent B2B agencies, dnx, and Ogilvy’s highly awarded B2B division, he’s been the strategic partner for many leading global brands. Including Cisco, Deltek, Nokia, SAP and Vodafone.

David Isaacson – Strategy Director

With more than 12 years’ experience consulting for FTSE 100 and leading consumer brands and a background in engineering, David provides strong strategic thinking and forensic comms planning for effective client work.

He started his agency career launching a new console for Nintendo and quickly saw that combining social data and digital experiences produced outstanding results. David has built effective strategies for management consultancies, banks, asset managers, FinTech, FMCG brands and petroleum companies around the world.  
Outside of strategy David has interests in analogue film photography, video gaming, tinkering with code and homestyle DIY computer building.

Charlotte Davis – Insights Executive

Charlotte focuses on researching audiences, channels, markets and organisations to identify key trends and insights that inform the work of the strategy partners. She is able to gather vast quantities of information and analyse data to understand, from the outside-in the “who, what and why” of any audience. As well as the wide variety of industries, she gets to learn about what it’s like being in a fast-paced environment!

After graduating in 2019, she briefly worked in the FinTech sector and gained exposure to the daily operations and business development of a start-up. She’s also been a tennis coach so knows the importance of strategy to help player development and the benefit of creating positive environments.

Dee Radford

Dee Radford – Marketing Manager

Dee has over twenty-five years experience in sales, administration, marketing, and events management, in a wide range of industries including Financial Services, Technology, Market Research and Construction.

She has most recently worked with client organisations to provide marketing strategy support to help grow brand awareness and loves all things digital, particularly social media management and content creation.

Domi Pettifar – Advisor

Domi co-founded the largest independent pure-play B2B marketing agency, dnx, in 2000 which grew to over 120 people before being sold to WPP and becoming an Ogilvy Business, a 17m Agency with a wide range of global tech and service accounts.

Post sale she became Joint Managing Director with co-responsibility for the profitability of the Agency as well as new business and talent development and with a specific remit for Clients’ Brand and Employer Brand Strategy.

Working with both senior leadership and marketing teams Domi believes in creating clear differentiation, competitive advantage and internal acknowledgment and measurement of the true value of marketing.

Other interests and experience include supporting the work of The Boxing Academy, an Alternative Provider school in Hackney for pupils who have been excluded from main-stream schooling.

Paul Allen – Advisor

Paul is a professionally qualified accountant who has held senior financial positions for over 20 years in agencies such as Naked, Edelman and Jackie Cooper PR. For the 7.5 years before launching Red Dots, Paul was a Partner at the strategic consultancy and M&A advisory practice SI Partners advising clients on growth, commercial improvement, exit planning and corporate finance. During his time there Paul led the sale process of agencies such as The Brooklyn Brothers, Salt PR and 101.

Paul founded Red Dots in early 2020 as a solution for creative and communications agencies looking for strategically led business consultancy. The core principle of Red Dots is to offer tangible advice with quantifiable positive impact on your business and currently works with a range of top quartile communications agencies. Encouraging agencies to think and act differently, and give the support to accelerate transformative growth strategies in order to realise their potential.

How We Work:

Acting as the strategy partners of our client teams, often on a long-term basis, we bring a fresh, outside perspective to the existing team culture.

Working as an extension of the team, we manage the change and implementation process of our recommendations, meaning that we are accountable for making them a reality.

And, collaborating closely with sales, IT, operations and wider management, we take responsibility for building alignment around vision, goals and implementation.
